Meet Dr. Michelle Getz
Dr. Michelle Getz is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Getz entered the U.S. Air Force where she served as a captain for three years in the Dental Corps. During this time, she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. This program provided Dr. Getz with the knowledge and skill to treat more complex dental conditions. In addition to training in each of the dental specialties, she received certification to perform intravenous pain control and sedation therapy.
Since separating from the Air Force, Dr. Getz has been in private practice for over seventeen years in the historic Cove Community. Dr. Getz has participated in over 1,200 hours of continuing education, not including a ten-month comprehensive implant residency program. During this implant residency, Dr. Getz received extensive hands-on surgical training in implant placement and bone grafting procedures.
Dr. Getz is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and Florida Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Getz enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, in particular surgical and cosmetic procedures. Her goal is to provide the best dental care possible in a stress-free, comfortable environment.
